56 thousand pounds for that car.

That or a BMW, yah, the GT-R for sure.

Sadly, here the GT-R was like 150 thousand and a M3 for example is around 120 thousand (base price)

I have kept watching this video for years, and it is still my dream car. I WILL own one someday, and I still can't believe the engineering for a car that reasonable. Nissan had great pride in this car, and it still shows today

"They haven't just built a new car, they've built a new yardstick."

Oh, how prophetic that turned out to be. 12 years later, basically the same car is still hanging with the most modern performance vehicles.

Funny how a Japanese car with 3.8l V6 beats all American muscle cars with their 6l V8s, most likely with half the fuel consumption.

As the GT-R was available for the first time it was just embarrassing for Lamborghini, Porsche, even for my beloved great Ferraris (especially the F430). Cheaper, faster, it kicked Gallardo's, DBS', F430's and 911 turbo's ass with ease in accleration and in corners. A masterpiece

This is why as an Brit I like Japanese, American and Aussie cars, it's not about the showy, showy it's about what's inside just looks at price difference, it's not a status symbol it's a fun machine a power house.

And it's still an incredibly staggering car to this day. Anytime I spot one of these anywhere on the road, I get so flustered & giddy. Don't know why most of these beauties (especially crisp, low-mileage ones) aren't selling for around 120-150k by now. 🤔🤔

I'd love to have seen a $/second under 2 minutes. As in which car gets you the best cost to performance on the top gear track.
