Forza Motorsport 4 "Endangered Species" – TopGear Commercial
In this live action short film titled “Endangered Species,” Jeremy Clarkson, host of BBC’s “Top Gear,” provides the narration for a tongue-in-cheek illustration of something many car lovers already know: that the real world is becoming an unfriendly place for those who truly love automobiles.

I've been playing the Forza series since Forza 4 came out, and somehow I've never seen this commercial. I'm not ashamed to admit this is the first time I've seen it, and I'm not ashamed to admit that for some reason it made me cry. Honestly, this advert is so beautiful, from the cinematography to the music, but I think the most important thing is the message. Yes, we're in an era of 700 horsepower truck, electric cars that can do a 9 second quarter mile from the factory, and loads of new technology that make cars faster and faster, but I feel like the purity of driving is going away. The masses want a car that shifts itself, that drives itself, and is as much like not a car as it could be. Even ten years ago now they were spot on. I feel like being active in motorsports is more impactful than ever, because at some point they'll all have but disappeared and the young people like me will never get to experience pushing a vehicle to it's ragged edge on a track, the sights, the smells, and the amazing community of car lovers that goes with it all. Here's to the endangered species. Here's to you and me.
