The new Audi A6 saloon sure is a looker. It’s not getting enough attention due to the RS6 surely, but we’re gonna give it some this time. The new 300hp PHEV engine is out (also with an alternative 362hp one),

If what I saw is accurate, this looks far too close to the flagship Mulsanne for comfort. And that's not good, considering the fact that the (Continental) Flying Spur is really a Volkswagen with British coachwork, where the Mulsanne (as well as its upcoming coupe and cabriolet variants) is actually a unique piece of engineering and art. The two lineups should be differentiated as such.

I think you mean you test drove the OLD Bentley GT/GTC/FS.
Charles Green
Lol! You are absolutely correct!

If its in your budget (or patience) I'd wait a year or two for the new Bentley GT/GTC/FS to depreciate a bit, then pick it up. The 2004-2010 models have really antiquated navigation and electronics.. especially for a six figure car. These cars depreciate very quickly, and are very reliable. So picking up a newer model in a year or two for probably $50k+ below sticker with 20k miles would be a smart move. They're a blast to drive and own, but the old electronics are pretty disappointing.
Charles Green
I think it would be smarter! I subscribe to the DuPont Regirsty and all the Bentley's for sale is crazy! I can't believe how fast they depreciate. So I already told myself a used Bentley would do fine. We're on same page. I rather wait for the newer used model with the newer electronics! Lol

I don't think they'll depreciate quite that fast. If you want to see uber-quick depreciation, check out the Volkswagen Phaeton, which is a lovely limousine that shares a platform and engines with the Bentley Continental. They haven't been sold here in the U.S. for quite some time, but are still available in Europe…
MarcusLSB
Maybe not THAT fast, but if you look at the 2004-2009 Bentley GT which base was about $150k you can pickup one now for about $75k with relatively low mileage. Then again I guess that didnt' depreciate as fast as my X5 which stickered at $90k in 2009 and is now worth less than half that with 80k miles on it.

Bought my 2012 Bentley Flying Spur for 234 K, loaded with rear DVD (10K) etc.
Don't compare a BMW X 5 to a Bentley….BMW 7 series (98 K) is what I use as my everyday car. However, BMW has a product known as Rolls Royce Ghost that competes with my car.

I received my invite for the intro – unfortunately in Calif while I am in NJ, but:
They as others are saying – what it s by label may be confusing things, especially for the resales a few yeas from now – hold to the GT/GTC&Spur labeling (depending on 4dr, Coup or Convert). If it is a Spur it is a 4dr and for the older, tea party set. And if it is the sedate 4 door – too much tagging in the interior (I don't want the logo on the rear seat!). But instead the logo on wheels should be static.
