Intelligent Details

Intelligent Details, a short documentary film commissioned by Bentley Motors, introduces Luc Donckerwolke, Director of Design, and SangYup Lee, Head of Exterior Design. Filmed in the Bentley Mulsanne in New York, Intelligent Details focuses on what inspires Luc and SangYup in their roles as design leaders for Bentley Motors. The film highlights the fusion of luxury, performance and technology within the Bentley Mulsanne and reveals the manner in which Intelligent Details was filmed, assembled and edited using the in-car connectivity and entertainment platform.

Well, I guess that now we know that the iPhone is indeed capable of shooting boring short documentaries with bad lighting. Thank you for that.

I think it's a brilliant marketing idea. Links in with a new demographic. Clearly, the cars are outstanding.
However, I could see that this was created on a phone. It does have quite a few artifacts and the tones lack depth.
I'm surprised about the extra effort with lens, rigs and stabilization etc. For my eyes, it's controlled but not beautiful.
Great effort from everyone on this. Thank you!

Wow, I thought is must have been some pro gears because the image are so clean.

  • I'm disappointed it was shot using a very expensive Bentley, a cheap toy car would have made a so much better movie.

Great video. Goes to show that you don't necessarily need an expensive high tech specific set up anymore except perhaps for the more specialized requirements.

With all of the extra money that you would have to spend to get your phone to shoot video like this (stablilizer, mounts, various lenses) you may as well just buy a DSLR and get perfect shots everytime

Steve Jobs: let’s interact with technology naturally, with touch.
Bentley: No. Let’s put it back into a laptop like enclosure and build s car around it.
