Aftermarket head-up display Navdy shows navigation and communications in a driver’s view, but the unit feels intrusive in smaller cars.Subscribe to Roadshow: http://bit.ly/1Z3Ff7G Visit us online at http://www.TheRoadshow.com Twitter @Roadshow : https://www.twitter.com/Roadshow IG @RoadshowAutos : https://www.instagram.com/RoadshowAutos Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RoadshowAutos/

  1. $799 damn so expensive

  2. First view, like, and comment!

  3. Funny, putting that thing, when having a cool beauty of Audi's virtual cockpit.

  4. I had a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix with a heads-up display built right in the dash. The image displayed on my windshield. I loved it and thought it was fantastic. What I can't figure out why that feature was not even offered in very many cars after that production year. Was there a problem that was never fully disclosed…?

  5. Nice concept but like the guy said his whole view is obstructed by the device

  6. I love the HUD on my 3 series, and I wish more cars came with the option! It does take a little bit of time to get used to, but after awhile you can easily use it to make calls, change a song, or get your navigation directions straight from the HUD without needing the map on the infotainment screen.

I'm really glad this tech is catching on and there are finally 3rd party companies offering it for other cars. I'm sure in a couple of years it will get much cheaper and make more sense for most consumers. I think $400 will be a good price point, as just a few years ago people were buying aftermarket navigation for that much.

  7. >$799 for a piece of screen, some wires and an app
    errrr
    no

  8. Aren't things sitting on a dash / obstructing view in California illegal? Same with window mounts. "technically" illegal even if not really enforced but it is still a reason to get pulled over.

  9. I like the video but dislike the product. Should I give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down?

  10. 02' Buick Rendezvous oem HUD is awesome. Unlike this thing that will get your windows busted when people see it on your dash. Obstructing your view and still getting eyes off focus from the main road to see what it shows. Oh and that $799 tag will almost guarantee a theft in no time. I think I'll pass

  11. Why use it if you have the virtual cockpit?

  12. With such a big NAV screen in the dashboard in front of you in the Audi, no other NAV tools are needed!

  13. How far is the image projected? I've seen an animation where they show the image projected in the middle of the hood but I know it is not a real image. Is the image projected in the middle of the hood or closer to the windshield?
