You forgot the 2016/2017 Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage, both excellent small SUV's. The 2017 Honda CRV is still a little boring (but improved) and probably very expensive for this class!

I think the engine is too small for this size of vehicle. And CVT transmission is a deal-breaker for me. Finally Honda does not negotiate as aggressively as Toyota or Ford so this could be an expensive car.

I don't understand…if kicking under the trunk can open it, why can't they just design it so kicking can also closes it? Seems like a better solution for short people and people who have trouble with their hands.
