Is it just me, or does anybody else think this is Audi's nicest looking car? I mean, the R8 is a very, very nice car, but because of the wheelbase for the specific handling properties, it just looks somewhat "unbalanced" (and I'm really not a fan of those "side blade" things either). The TT RS, I believe, just looks a lot nicer; imagine a rear-engined, 5.2 V10 TFSi TT RS (you know how VW/Audi did the W12 Golf that one time?) with a proper Quattro system (not the semi-Quattro system that comes with the TT RS, as it only pushes up to 50% of the power to the rear wheels, when the car "DECIDES" itself that it should [under load/accelerating on twisty bends etc.]) where the user/driver can set the power distribution ratio (and change the ratio as and when required, instead of it all being "managed by AI") as I'd want it to be around 30:70 (front/rear) to get the back end out around corners (for track days etc. Please do not "drift" around roundabouts people) as that's all part of the fun.
I feel all this automatic "torque/power distribution" and LSD and ESC/Stability Control really can spoil all the fun if you physically cannot spin ANY of the power away, from drifting to burn-outs. I've heard some people call the TT RS the "baby R8" and I really think that should be an option; to be able to select the engine and drive-train from the R8 (obviously it would have to be modified to fit, but I'm sure Audi could do that with the R8's 4.2 V8 even in/for the TT's actual engine bay [anything's possible, really, if you have the time and/or money]).
I'd also LOVE to see Audi release an RS 8 (an RS version of the R8, NOT an RS version of an S8) 5.2 V10 Bi-Turbo (or twin super chargers), that would be INSANE, as the R8 really is one of the nicest handling cars in that class (in my humble opinion, its much nicer to drive than, say a Porsche 911/997, or a Ferrari 488, or a Lamborghini Huracán) it's just a shame it doesn't look as, and I really do use the word "beautiful" for the TT RS (straight 2.5L Turbo and the 3.2 normally aspirated TT [even though I'm like, "so, Audi, about you NOT twin turbo-ing the 3.2 V6/turbo-ing the 3.2 VR6, I mean, what's going on? The 2.5 Turbo TT has almost 100 BHP MORE than the 3.2 VR6 TT!?"]) in "Glacier White" (I think its called Glacier White, I'm not sure if that's what Audi still call that colour) with the matte-grey 5 spoke "blade" wheels; it really is one of my favourite looking cars, I just KNOW Audi could do SO MUCH MORE with it and the very fact that the 5 cylinder 2.5 Turbo TT RS is almost 100 brake MORE than the 3.2 VR6 really is confusing, as you'd expect "zose crazy Germans" (that's not me trying to be/sound "racist" or me "stereotyping" the people of Germany by the way: Its just a phrase I heard somebody say, with regards to them building these really fast and very nice quality cars) to at least MATCH the power and torque outputs of the smaller engined, straight 5, 2.5L Turbo TT RS.
That's just my thoughts anyway. And for people who call the Audi TT a "hairdresser's car", you OBVIOUSLY (I think) mean (if you really have to say that?) the 1.8 non-turbo soft-top/cabriolet TT that came out in the late 90s/early 2000s. There's my thoughts for you (Audi "enthusiasts") people anyway ('cause, that's right, for some reason, apparently a lot of "hairdresser's" buy/drive soft-top/cabriolet cars, and Audi's is one of the best ones, so I guess it makes sense; if you HAVE to get a soft-top/cabriolet, then obviously, that would explain why people choose Audi's soft-top/cabriolet TT over other car brands…) Peace and love, Yahshua (Jesus) The Messiah Saves.
