The software and hardware powering the 2018 Mini Countryman’s dashboard are quite good, but awkward ergonomics keep us from loving it. Read the review: http://roadshow.co/BYf4Qd

No touch screen yet, no Android auto or Car play in 2018. Cheap pop out Head up display and gipsy like color changing infotaiment are disaster for such "premium" brand!!!

it's been awhile Antuan, great review as always. And I must say I'm surprised Mini did not learn from their mistakes on the last iDrive retro fit, especially because that must have come up during testing.

I also like your notes on the "big center ring" that used to house the big speedo (yes, I still miss it), but I think Mini might have stumbled onto a great new interface philosophy of using "big low def" tech to display information in the peripheral instead of just trying to cram all info into a "high def read out" in a drivers central vision. Granted, there are some concerns, all of these lights must be unique and can't be mistaken for another car's head lights, tail lights, or turn signal. But, if done correctly, it could be the solution to information over load that can plague modern cars.

That is one of the worst place to put the switches. Specially on American freeways where the traffic is sometimes too much.

Your complaints are lame….and based on a quick jump into the car. Owners who live with the car will learn where buttons are without having to think about it. Controller too low? Lower your armrest.
