In today’s money, the BMW 850CSi cost $175,000 when it was new. Today, I’m reviewing a BMW 850CSi to show you all its quirks and features — and to show you why the E31 8 Series was such a cool car, especially the flagship 850CSi model.

This is definitely a top notch German grand tourer but a less healthier specimen would do better with, dare I say, an modern day American LT1 V8. It would have to be done with a top-notch installer and it would cost a fortune, beyond what it’s ultimate net worth would be, but it would be absolutely luscious…

    Still looking great!
BMW had the balls back then to made the kidneys as small as possible, to match the beautiful lines of the 8series.
Nowadays they are just stickig safty gates on the bumpers of any Beamer.

Imagine the finances the owner of this automobile has had to spend in maintenance 🙄. I have a 535xi touring aka F11 and that girl has cost me a fortune to keep her going 90-95%.

My regular old 1995 530i has so many features that are exactly the same as this. Same window vents, headlight switch, power steering wheel, the steering wheel itself is almost the same, almost identical shift knob, same heated seat switch, same vehicle information switches, my pixel screen is still working though lol, mine has no phone though :(. Same flashlight in glove box

I owned a 91 e 34 m5 , it was a Dinan car … I restored it t the clear coat , A 70 + women not paying attention , hit me head on and totaled it with a mazda miata … I sold the wreck for 6k , she only had 5k in liability . Im still trying to get the money for my property , from my insurance co . I think e34 M5 is a competitor for this car .

Pretty sure that Alec Baldwin's character in "Glengarry Glen Ross" owned an 8 series.

This car has the perfect styling for me. Sleek, not too shouty. Clean nice lines going from the front to the back.
    The cockpit is amazing.
