  1. I would love to own a Tesla Model S P100D, but I’m not wealthy. The Tesla Model 3 feels like a car plagued with compromises. Why can’t Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Cadillac, Infiniti, Lexus, or even Lincoln come out with a full electric version of just one of their mainstream luxury sedans to compete with Tesla? Hell, Tesla even offers all of their technology for free to other automakers to use for themselves and so far only the slow selling and discontinued Mercedes-Benz B-Class has used Tesla powertrains and technology. I wouldn’t mind buying a Mercedes-Benz E-Class EV, BMW 5-Series EV, Audi A6 EV, Lincoln Continental EV, or Cadillac CT6 EV if they were offered. I doubt Ford still sells the Focus Electric still since they’re anti car now in North America.

  2. Would have been much better journalism without those snide remarks! Totally unnecessary!

  3. What does YTD stand for?

  4. That "combined" line was nicely dropped.

  5. It should be interesting next year with the Jag EV out in the market.

  6. I see Cooley and I click!

  7. Tesla engines are not waterproof , and thats sucks

  8. I wish the Fuel Cell cars are as sexy as the Tesla. But they are not….

  9. Of course the model 3 is number!

  10. This list was really predictable.

  11. Simple guy here. Cooley. Click. Like. Watch.

  12. I'm not buying anything with a plug unless it can solar roof charge itself 5 miles per day. Prius plugin in other markets can do it, its about time someone in the US can figure out how to make it pass crash tests here.

  13. Mercedes has sold 25,206 E-Class cars in the US in 2018, so more than double Tesla's Model S sales. Let's stop drinking the Tesla cool-aid and call the Model S what it is: an E-Segment Executive car. People cross-shop a Model S P100D against the E63, not against a $200,000+ S650. If the Model 3 wasn't outselling the C-Class, then they'd probably try to pass it off as the leader in the E-Segment like they try to pass off the Model S as the F-Segment leader. It will be interesting to see if the Model 3 finishes the year on top, MB has sold 33,500 C-Class so far in 2018. Although I don't think anyone at MB is worried as C-Class sales in the US are on the decline and they've sold 39,591 GLC crossovers thus far in 2018. Still, it will be interesting to see how Model 3 sales trend once all the backordered reserved ones have been delivered.

  14. Guess what?…

    Trump 2020!

  15. what hot electric cars you ment, hot on temperature ?

  16. glad you didnt sell out on this one…. yield to the numbers and what do you see? Tesla. (and some Nissan and Chevy- one of each company I own.)

  17. Tesla currently have three models and that are on top 3…
    That's Tesla Power 💪

  18. I bought the best selling fully electric car in Europe. It's a Renault Zoe with a 41 kw/h battery pack and 43 kw AC charger.
So round about 1 hour charging for 300 km distance driving.

  19. Top 3 are Tesla’s? The fix is in.

  20. Man this is where Brian Cooley has been hiding?! Subscribe.

  21. I'm unsure about electric cars…. I can't afford any of the good ones.

  22. Tesla haters incoming

  23. That Al Gore joke… ha ha. It should really make all of us a bit happier, it's not Al's problem but all of our problem.

  24. Tesla should have gotten permission from SMART for Two to use their shell for the Tesla compact car, remember Tesla made a Test car out of a Smart but put in a Tesla drivetrain and battery. The result was a 2 seater that could go 0 – 60 in under 3 second, and there as so much Torque that the front end raised up almost tipping over. Tesla could build this car today and it would sell like hot cakes and flat out beat all the small compliance EV on the road.

  25. Tesla is so flipping cool god damit

  26. Fake exaggerated numbers !!!

  27. Where have you been Cooley!?

  28. Either making the Hyundai Kona Electric or Nissan Leaf my next set of wheels. I like the parking spots inside garages and the savings in fuel aren’t that shabby either. I’m ditching my gas guzzler as soon as I’m even on my loan – value = amount owed – which should approach next June.

  29. Hang on … title is “most important” but list is best selling??? Someone needs a smack!

  30. You could *NOT* help yourself and take a jab at Elon Musk… He is practically by himself making this electric revolution happenning and will be spoke about for generations to come in history books, but fuck all that, he made a few eccentric tweet, right?

Except your forgot to mention this is n part because he works 120+ hours a week and literally everybody wants a piece of him. But fuck that too, right ?

Useless piece of shit with zero accomplishment on the scale of PayPal, SpaceX, SolarCity, The Boring company and Tesla dare to criticize Elon Musk for a few Tweet you do not approve of. Fuck you.

  31. This from a guy who recommended an E92 335i over an E92 M3…how’d that work out “Cooley”?

  32. Woah!!! Way too short!!!

  33. TDLR: Tesla's are all top 3

  34. Spiegel just unfollowed and blocked this channel. XD

  35. TESLA for the KILL! 1,2, and 3!

  36. The Brits are still better at car shows

  37. Elons vision has come true

  38. Great clips lately

  39. I wonder. When Tesla does come out with the model Y and newer sports car will they have the one thru five slots. That new roadster with its' 620 plus mile range is very hard to beat and you can cram four people in there. I wonder if the model Y is going to be something like the I-Pace but with six seating capacity so as to blow them away at a slightly lower price? Anyway they allowed Tesla to run way out in front by not getting serious right away like they should have and now it shows.

  40. How many electric cars would they all sell without government mandates and subsidies? How many Chevy Malibus would sell if every buyer got a $7,000 bribe from the federal government? Let the free market rule and keep corrupt politicians out of the energy and transportation marketplace.

  41. How can the Tesla Model 3 be a sales leader when the styling is off? You're a Head banger and iPhone user with no Styling want this Tesla models… At a higher $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

  42. Too bad the model 3 fits his description of the gen 1 leaf. But calling the gen 2 leaf lines sexy? Come on Cooley what're you smoking?

  43. There's no HOT in electric cars even formula E
