2019 Subaru Ascent Limited {First Drive} Video Review

Subaru Ascent Price Quote

Subaru has expanded its family both literally and figuratively with the new Ascent. This is a well-made vehicle with a really nice interior and great features. If you need a vehicle to fit a larger family then the 2019 Subaru Ascent needs to be on your shopping list.

The Subaru Ascent is what happens when a vehicle drinks its milk and takes its vitamins. The Ascent is the largest automobile Subaru makes for the U.S. market; it’s like a pumped-up version of the Outback or Forester with a 3rd row of seats. Prices range from $31,995 for the Base trim up to $44,695 for the Touring trim. The Limited version tested here starts at $38,995.

Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.4 liter flat 4-cylinder engine that makes 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy checks in at 20 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. Towing maxes out at 5,000 lbs. The inside is a more mature Subaru and for good reason. The materials are more upscale and the cabin is roomy and light. The touchscreen is simple to use and the gauges are easy to read.

A lesser Highlanderin every way, with a lol'ing towing CVT. Screwberu'd fan boys will love it. Fuji Heavy can't get a decent transmission from Toyota owned Aisin. Total turd.

How’s your blue tooth noise?? mine is horrible – not road noise but hissing type noise that get worse when on the highway but not great when parked either! My husbands ‘15 Outback is way more quiet and can have an actual conversation- anyone i speak to with either Android or Apple phone says the noise is too much and we end the call… pretty bummed about this issue on my 2 week old car. Subaru techs checked it out and say there is not an issue (of course) possibly the Ascent is in high demand and quality control slipping a bit?? I already had a front passenger speaker replaced promptly that was crackling when using the radio & bluetooth the night i purchased the car- that was fixed but bluetooth noise, aaaargh!!!
another appt in the service dept !!! 2x in 2 weeks that i have owned the car- anyone else
with excessive BT noise?? hissy or like wind as if a window was a bit open – or at least that is what about 7 people now have described. 😒☹️
