Hybrid cars are not designed to stay & doomed to fail.
After all why carry two power train every where , pay two maintenance, pay for two fuels, two headaches only to achieve one objective !!!
And yet damage environment as there is no Tomorrow…Total madness.
I guess taxi drivers & those travelling more than 300 miles a day could benefit from Hybrid cars.

Sorry I just don't get SUV'S more money for a bit more head room and most are really ugly. Give me a saloon or a normal hatchback any day. Must be getting old?

would be classed as a family saloon in a lot of ford selling countries. also not what i would consider an SUV to be. a saloon with a little bit bigger boot? hardly a utility car

I have a Kuga PHEV ( Vignale with full options) which I received late June. I was very satisfied until a call back action (20s44) which was released early August by Ford, telling me there’s a problem for all these PHEV with the battery, which causes this car can take fire. This apparently van even happen when simply parked. The modification could only be implemented after August 24 in the garage. Meaning for most of July and August, I had to drive on Fuel only, as it got forbidden by Ford to charge the battery. On August 25, the Ford dealer mode some kind of modification and told menI could drive again on electricity. However, soon after, I learned from Ford that there’s going to be a second recall since the car can still take fire. Very worrysome. They told me I should stop charging electricity. Apparently, every Ford Kuga PHEV received this message. It was followed by a letter of Ford to the Kuga PHEV owners on Sep 15th , confirming this second recall with the same number : 20s44. The customer servixe has been non responsive on my demands when the problem is now going to be fixed. The Ford dealer 5ells le the sales and delivery of this PHEV modell is even halted now, because the problem is quite important. Ford has no date announced yet on when the cars will be adjusted so we can use it again what we bought it for : driving on electricity. Once the fix is available ( date unknown so far ) There is a delay of 6 weeks at the Ford dealer to get an appointment they told me. This means , I will at earliest be able to use the electricity again in late November. A horror story. We feel very screwed by the imcompetence of Ford, who brought a car on the market without being ready to be released. And they don’t offer any compensation. Shame on you, FORD
