Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid long-term update: Our electrified workhorse

Time for an update! Our long-term 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is an electrified workhorse. After six months as our video production vehicle, we’re very happy. Though, we do miss the built-in vacuum.

Wondering if the second rows can come totally out of the van. Just thinking of increased cargo capacity without stow and go.

An actual useful car, as opposed to most SUVs

So can the second row seat be removed at all?

No Stow-N-Go, No Vac, No Spare Tire. Uconnect can be laggy. Reports of front CV Axles failing (2017). You can remove those 2nd row seats. That 28-33 miles of range is nice.

What are you smoking? That is not white leather. It is light gray at best. Mercedes and Tesla makes a true white leather.

How does this compare to the non-hybrid model and which one would you choose? I really want the hybrid but am worried abt the poor reliability of the hybrid model.

They should have just built a full EV, so much simpler than 2 power trains

Am I the only one who is horrified that the expensive camera is not in a case but just sitting on top of the other stuff at 2:01?

Other than that, I really do want this minivan. I got kids. I love minivans. =)

I was minivan shopping last year. I liked the Pacifica. I remember the dealer came down from a $37k sticker price to $29k out the door. A pretty deep discount for not even haggling. We ended up with a used Odyssey in the end.

Uh … Before buying a Chrysler (Fiat), might want to check out their overall (un)reliability. Toyota or Honda really need a plug-in/hybrid van.

    Their quality is dirt.

Just weeks between fill-ups?!? Heck, we go months between fill-ups with our 2017 PacHy! We run in electric only mode for most of our driving, we get about 60km range in the summer and it easily goes up to highway speeds in EV mode. The only times we really use gas now is for long road trips or in the winter because we're in Canada and the PacHy uses the gas engine to make heat.

Anyone find that it uses gas in cold weather even when charged and the heat is off? Brought it to the dealer last winter and they said it checked out but they could not tell me if this is normal. Emailed Chrysler and they called me. The woman I spoke to didn't know but said she would investigate. It seems that this vehicle (and I do love it) is so new that few people know everything about it.

What's everyone's monthly electrical bill looking like after getting one of these?
