Toyota Prius AWD-e Review: More traction, same great efficiency
The 2019 Toyota Prius adds all-wheel drive, providing a little more grip for buyers in the snowbelt. Fortunately, the costs in terms of fuel economy and price are minimal, making the Prius AWD-e a great choice for everyday commuting.

A pretty dull review I have to say….
Especially the video footage, it felt like a B-roll.

My 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid gets almost the same MPG and doesn’t look ugly like the Prius

As the owner of a Prius Prime, I'm SO DISAPPOINTED that Toyota is focusing on AWD instead of improving the electric range of these transitional plug-in hybrids. The Prime is a great car that gets about 25 miles on a charge alone, and for someone who has a short commute it can act as a strictly electric vehicle (no range anxiety – it just shifts over to the hybrid gas engine when the charge is spent.); between the electric and about 55 mpg when using the ICE, I've averaged over 100 mpg since I bought the car ( and haven't been to the gas station for almost 2 months!). Honda has the Clarity plug-in that gets about 50 miles on a charge, while Toyota is banking on the hydrogen fuel cell which uses more energy to produce than it saves. Toyota seems to be going after the Subaru AWD market instead of increasing energy efficiency. I've lived in New England my entire life and have survived just fine without AWD. Anyone who really cares about our environment should buy the most fuel-efficient vehicle they can afford. By the way, I also think my Prius Prime is a beautiful car, so the heck with you wannabe taste-makers out there who insist on calling it ugly – I'm hearing the cha-ching of money saved and not your insults :p

50% of the Prius models are discontinued. Putting the rear electric motor from this Prius in a Barbie Power Wheel would only be a minor upgrade for the Power Wheel.

Too bad it's one of the ugliest car out there

auto reviewer = ppl who get paid to drive new cars and say shit they don't understand
I respect the ppl to design, engineer, and build the cars.
I cannot say the same for auto "journalists", they are nothing more than propped up cocksuckers.

I just wish an ALL electric Prius would make the stage, fully jumping toyota into the new age.

Why do they have to be so ugly? I don't understand. I guess the rear is a little better that the old granny glasses one.
