Toyota LQ concept wants to emotionally connect through AI

Attendees of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics will be able to take a ride in Toyota’s newest concept and meet Yui, the automaker’s AI-powered digital assistant. By making an emotional connection with the driver, Yui-chan hopes to make the car a beloved item and improve driving safety.

It looks awesome, but I don't like the idea of having a conversation with a machine. It's just throw away effort. There's no value to the machine in what you're saying, it's just performing a function to keep you from falling asleep or something.
