Am I the only one on here who does NOT want simplicity? I'd rather just use my actual phone and not the handicapped Car Play & Android Auto.

I think you are missing something! All I do is plug in my iPhone into lightning cable that’s connected to my AUX port on my old 2009 Honda Civic. Then I just say” hay Siri play “ name of song” and I new get whatever song I ask for playing.

Because my iPhone is mounted on my cars dash it’s easy to see the screen. Then I just say” hay Siri take me to the nearest gas station and Apple maps now shows the route also playing the turn by turn instructions over the cars sound system.

So you see Apple has it covered. Hope this helps. I’m not sure why you didn’t know this? But now you do 🤗

Update. It’s easier on my RAV 4. It’s tied into the Bluetooth on the infotainment system. Same commands “ Hay Siri “ play this song and it does it. No buttons!

I have to remember to turn off my mic on my Goog6Mini when I watch this videos. My mini had no issues with any of your commands. Btw it'll take me 6 days to get to CBS from here. 🙁

I enjoy your segments , but seriously, turn on the radio, select a station and drive the bloody car. All this tech is just a plain WOFTAM (waste of f'ing time and money). These tech videos, should be called "Here are some more ways to have a car accident with ease".
Need a shopping list, there is this very recent innovation, I think they call it " a pen and paper" in all colours, you can buy it at a newsagent, steal it from the office or workshop, and is not skewed towards Amazon, and you can update the list whilst stopped at the traffic lights. (but don't forget to keep the foot on the brake pedal, or select park. You get auto reminders to pay attention from fellow drivers' honking the horn).

This may sound crazy. But, I want an extra speaker in my car because I want two things playing at the same time. For example, music & news, an audiobook (without navigation interruption & navigation. Stuff like that. Has anyone thought of this conflict?
