2020 Cadillac CT6-V Blackwing V8 Review // The $100,000 Unicorn

This is the Cadillac CT6-V with the new and exclusive Blackwing V8 engine. And it’s Cadillac’s flagship sedan with a V. It has two turbos, a great big stonking V8 and a ton of torque. And it’s already been discontinued. James and Thomas jump behind the wheel to see if this is something to be upset about or something to celebrate. Watch and enjoy. SUBSCRIBE!

Big thanks to Ceramic Pro Vaughan for making this possible! Visit them at

Mercedes wasn’t the first one to use a hot V…BMW has had it since 2008…..way before Mercedes.

They couldn't update the tail exhaust pipe? That'll it cost them few negative points. That's horrible it looks like a very cheap car.

When you pay $100,000 for a car the last thing you want is for it to
look dated after just one year. Making subtle tweaks in the design is a
good thing, especially when it comes to resale value.

Take Macs for example. how long has that computer design been around
compared to its competition? Do a good job up front, and it will take a
while before the design becomes dated.

In any event, when it comes to V models, you're paying for the engine
and the performance first and foremost. The interior appointments comes
second. One more thing, just so you know more speakers do not make for
better sound. In fact, too many may serve to degrade the sound or to
    cancel each other out.

But can you see where you are going? can you use that performance at night? Cadillac has a history of selling cars that over drive the headlights.

Cadillac needs to build a halo car like the Allanté, but actually make it rear wheel drive and have a black wing inside it

I think this is a nice looking car. The problem with American luxury cars is that the more expensive model of a car really isn't extraordinarily better than the lower priced version of the same car. I think American luxury car makers should spend some serious time studying everything that Bentley does-everything. Although much more money to buy than what's out there, both in the American offerings and foreign offerings, I would buy a Bentley every time if money were no object.

Why not just put simple and reliable supercharged LT1 engine from Camaro? Why they are trying to make it like mercedes or other unreliable clown european sedan with crappy turbocharged engines? What's wrong with GM managment?

    Great big stonking v8? It's tiny for a v8, AMC was making 4.2L I6s 40 years ago.
