Czinger 21C: the world’s first 3D printed hypercar | Top Gear
The Czinger 21C is a 1,233bhp 3D printed hypercar complete with a turbo V8 revving to 11,000rpm, a 1+1 layout and $1.7m price tag. Oh, and the big news is it’s 3D printed. Well, large sections of the chassis are, paving the way for a revolutionary new car manufacturing process that could change… everything. It’s mind-blowing stuff, so let Jack Rix be your guide around California’s Koenigsegg rival.

Did anybody see a T1000 step off the assembly line?

It's more of computer creativity

1980s all exotic cars are manual only
90s ditto
2000s wait… Rich people are getting to old to shift gears now. automatic optional
2010-now. People with money don't drive stick. Let's make them all the same. Automatic ONLY.

Is this car will be on the new "Fast & Furious" film?

A.I. Picked a V8 hell yeah brother!!

The video overall seems to be caught short of preparation. The insanely new technology and design is what should have been focussed in detail.
How have they not highlighted the story on how the AI focussed on material saving algorithms came up with the organic design by itself as it saves the most material for the most stable structure.
Honestly. This video should have spent less time on the editing floor and more on the research department.

I’ll believe it when it actually drives and drives well. If they’re making 930hp on methanol (carbon neutral, not zero emission) it won’t make that on race gas. That being said, the real value of this company is their technology they use to build the car. If I were a billionaire I’d invest in them just to have them develop the manufacturing tech, and then license that out for a fortune. I hope this thing turns out to be an awesome car though, because there’s too many hypercar and supercar failures that we’ve seen over the last couple decades.

unreal car. KFC brand name. really?

How many things can you really 3D print?
Surely most components you'd still need to buy from suppliers like the starter, alternator, radiator, windshields, seats, steering wheels, wiring harness, firewall and felt insulations, instrument panels, junction boxes, ECUs, steering columns, shock absorbers and coil springs, air conditioning units, tubing for all liquids like lubrication powertrain and gas lines, and basically every other electronic components.

Hyper cars are great for the few people that can afford them. I wonder what the machine would make if you told it $40,000 is your budget… if it's as efficient as they say then it shouldn't have any issues, it could probably blow all car manufacturers out of the park in the future. This could fix the quality over quantity issue, you'd have the best of both worlds for a reasonable price. The question I'd like to know is how much did it actually cost in parts/material to make the car??

Koenigsegg also had the balls to start at the top too.

Don't be fooled. They're using vibranium.

Awesome 👏

Very cool tools and engineering process, not impressed by the product.

Look up topology optimization and finite element analysis on Wikipedia. That’s what makes all of this possible

It won't stop going if we replace the wheels with an aftermarket ones, will it? Tesla and Apple would be proud if it does.

Talking about efficiency, I feel like they could have gotten rid of one of the doors since you're setting in the center of the car.

This is amazing!

The sad thing is that the economy and society can't accept the idea of A.I. manufactured vehicles. Maybe not now, but later?…
Justin Case
You keep saying, "inexpensive" about a vehicle that costs well over a million dollars.
I not think that word means what you think it means.
fvresonanator
So who calibrated the engine and the entire powertrain? Making out AI had done everything. I find that very difficult to believe.

Omg I just came!!!!! I want one!!!! I so love the design and the concept of it, in fact what I love even more is the AU and all the technological time leaps made here. Czinger will become a major player in the Automotive industry just for being able to take concept to car in such a short time.
