The 15 most UNRELIABLE cars named & shamed!

Reliability is one of the most important things to consider when buying a new car. Of course, some are going to be more reliable than others – but what are the models you may want to steer clear of when making a new purchase? Mat’s pulled together a list of the top 15 most unreliable, including anything from a Bentley to a Tesla! But what do you think will take the top spot? Keep watching to find out!

Thanks to Warrantywise for helping us create this video –

This survey has been calculated using data taken from the extended car warranty data held by Warrantywise and the repairs they have received. A spokesman for Warranty Wise said: “Warrantywise does not release data for cars unless we have a minimum of 100 vehicles as a sample amount. This data relates to claims between 2010 and 2020 and may not represent the reliability of new vehicles as all of the data in the set is for vehicles over 3 years old.”

People who can’t afford luxury vehicles complain about reliability. With a warranty, everything is covered and when the warranty ends, purchase and extended warranty. Case closed! Japanese cars arnt desirable whatsoever. They set no benchmarks, are not sought after by the wealthy, and lack personality. I’ll drive German vehicles till the day I die as nothing truly compares…

More babble, everyone knows claims are over inflated. If your up to a bit of spannering yourself & know what you are doing its 10x cheaper. And i have always known for the last 40 years or so German cars are not what they used to be. Toyota / Lexus have it well sorted. I never have & never will buy a German or German powered car.

Low End Buyer: I'm shopping for a car that is affordable yet with a high end taste and keeps me on the road at peace and my bank account on a positive, and that my kidney won't be sold if there's a breakdown…

KIA: Try the stinger, it won't disappoint you.
DS: Try our DS7 crossback. It's as good as the Germans has to offer.
SKODA: Try our 7 seater Kodiaq. The practicality of this car is really on par.

Badge Snob Advicer: Ah, these are petty cars. Try the BMW, AUDI, and the Merc, they are quality German Engineering… Or the British excellence Jaguar & Range Rover. They will put you on a higher status in life.

    4 weeks later…

Kia Stinger drives past an AUDI A7…

Low End Buyer: What's up mate…

Badge Snob Adviser: Sorry mate, I'm on a life changing phone call at the moment.
    Hello AA…..

Just shows you German cars most expensive cheaply built junk. Yet plenty of people fall for the marketing hype and trick of "it's expensive so it must be good…."

  • Janusha
    October 17, 2020

So this list is ONLY how much it costs to repair… Therefore expensive cars come out worst… Its got nothing to do with actual reliability of these cars.

All electrical faults should be warrantied for the car's life if it is serviced at the brand's dealer every year otherwise it's a con.

  • Oh Kay
    October 19, 2020

Is this a surprise to anybody that all these cars are a lot more "exciting" than the most RELIABLE list. Perhaps BMW and Audi drivers don't drive their vehicles in the same manner as the 50 year old lady in a Toyota Yaris.
