Also, I am on my 3rd beemer. 1st beemer 6 yrs. No issues just brakes and tires, trade-in 2nd beemer 5 yrs. No issues just brakes and tires. Trade in 3rd beemer 3 yrs. No issues only oil and filter changes.
When you buy a German motor maintenance has to be done on time and with the good stuff. The tall tales about German car reliability are from owners that should of purchase a JDM (which require fewer maintenance services) if you fall asleep on the maintenance schedule on a German vehicles issues will pile up. Also, using the wrong mechanics (Firestone, pep boys, nappa, butt crack Joe, etc.) Will guarantee poor reliability.
German performance, speed, and handling does come with a price tag and if you have to ask buy Japanese.

Thanks so much for your review, both cars are awesome, but Acura is offering to a slightly different market and some people will cross shop. The NSX was not disappointing, rather it's all these kids that have YouTube channels and only car about numbers and noise…. also, real car reviewers like Chris Harris, James May, exotic car hacks, mat Farrah, and so many others have great things to say about a great car….then there was the greedy dealerships marking up prices, people buying and resale at higher cost.

The real handling champ is the Giulia, but I think the 3 Series is best all around. I'd never consider the Acura as it is a much lesser brand than BMW. Maybe Lexus but Acura doesn't have the prestige.

Well I’m excited to see the TLX type S, but I bought a 2020 M340i. I absolutely love the BMW. Super sporty, fast AF, nice for taking the wife and kids out, and get me 32-33mpg driving back and forth to work. Can’t complain about it. Also get lots of looks because mine is white with the black M Performance wheels, black grills, black trim, black M Performance body kit , and a black roof.

If the TLX weighs as much as the m340i (unlikely unfortunately) and the handling competes with the 3 series, there’s no question the Acura has successfully made a grand statement as a returning leading brand in performance luxury sedans.

When the NSX first hit the hit the market I think journalists were just hating on it because we're so different from the previous version that they liked so much.
The performance numbers of the NXS were right there with any other supercar (0-60 in 3sec) and it cost less

my honest opinion here . is that BMW always give the consumer standard vehicle. that is going to have a very low depreciation value faster than its twin turbo driving of the dealer lot. !! and we all knew that . is going to happened. due to poor reliability and build quality. BMW does a very good job on poor quality and very very expensive parts and repairs. have i said that. Acura in the most part . defiantly is exactly the opposite. so why would anyone choose BMW ?!!! .. the only reason is just to show off !!

I think the base engine was updated with the 2021 tlx and ilx models. Because Lexus has had better base engines.

I still own a 07 TL with 220k miles runs strong! All new cars are more to maintain. I would go with the New Acura in every aspect EXCEPT one: rear wheel drive beats front wheel drive
