Who makes the LEAST and MOST reliable cars? All the major car firms ranked for reliability!

We all have preconceived ideas of which car brands we think are the most reliable – but have you considered how accurate you actually are? Well, wonder no more!! We’ve pulled together a list of the most reliable car brands out there! But before you watch the video, which manufacturer do you think will clinch the top spot? Let us know in the comments, then stick with Mat to find out!

Thanks to Warrantywise for helping us create this video – https://www.warrantywise.co.uk/

This survey has been calculated using data taken from the extended car warranty data held by Warrantywise and the repairs they have received. A spokesman for Warranty Wise said: “Warrantywise does not release data for cars unless we have a minimum of 100 vehicles as a sample amount. This data relates to claims between 2010 and 2020 and may not represent the reliability of new vehicles as all of the data in the set is for vehicles over 3 years old.”

Seems like the more expensive the car with higher brand value the less reliable it is…e.g. Rover, Audi, BMW and Mercedes..what a rip off!

Giving a score in % and saying that the score is out of 100 is quite moronic Matt. Unless there are vehicles that fix themselves having reliability rating of 110%.

Well I have a 4 year old Renault Megan and I serviced it twice already and it needs one again. Good car. Not reliable though. Still recommend it.
On the other hand, my ex 2003 VW Polo still works like clockwork, no new parts needed (other than the consumables ofcourse).

Matt….. How can you base your recommendations for purchase today on cars that are 9 year old on an average? IMO Honda isn't the same it was 5 years ago!

What is average repair cost? Per year, lifetime car, other? It don't understand the meaning of this metric. On a per repair basis I think the repair bills in the real world are higher in my experience. Car parts are just expensive in general. Quite a few surprises in the list. Dit not expect fiat to rank so high, yet many German brands rank so low. This means the high value relatively expensive brands are generally… less valuable and durable? That's a very surpriaing conclusion. I still have too many questions about the validity of the data.
