To a hammer everything is a nail. GM still doesn't understand what they are up against. Wanna see how this will play out? See MB EQC. You cannot complete with 1/3 of the solution.

Show us the car. The intros to the tech, partnership with LG Chem, etc., Etc., could have been done in another info video.
This has zero excitement, buildup. Everyone in this video should have been dressed, by a stylist, so they evoke (sorry JLR) new/ style, it feels old-school.

I don't care for teasers from any brand. The only thing I want to see is for these EVs to enter production.

January 2019: here's photos of a concept SUV.

August 2020: "Introducing the same car you saw nearly two years ago. The actual production model will be out for 2023."

    This wasn't really a reveal.

Why do all of the big OEM unveilings seem like a corporate executive self congratulating hand job? Just bring out the car, show the specs, show the features, and get on with it! Stop with the self congratulation and pretending like this was some incredible feat. It wasn't. It's an over the top showing of pointless technology that you spent a fortune on that turned out 'too' futuristic and gaudy.

Intermixing concept interior videos that won't make it into the production vehicle with actual production interior shots is an absolute joke. Want to show us the interior, open the door and let us look at it. Oh, and where in the hell is the second cup holder? This is a technological marvel.. but second cup holder… oh no.. can't have that! BTW, all of this "breakthrough" tech has already been done before in not such a gaudy way… so stop acting like it's a marvel of breakthrough engineering. Cool, a 3 foot screen… does it somehow make the driving experience any better? Sure doesn't seem like it. You know who else did something silly like that screen? Byton. How did that turn out for them?

If you want to see a creative driver's cluster… then look at the Taycan. A small slim cluster with an innovative screen that doesn't scream "look at how big and innovative I am". It does what it's supposed to do, show you the information you need to see without glare, without fluff.

People love their SUVs… but who loves massive front ends that make the vehicle impossible to maneuver? Old people have a hard enough time maneuvering in dense parking lots and around city streets, this is only going to make it harder. That said, I hope that front end has a huge frunk, because it's massive!

I get it… sometimes a car can be fun and exciting and utilize tech that isn't exactly helpful in any way, but adds a littler character. The problem is, the character this vehicle is adding isn't cute and fun, it's rich and gaudy. There's nothing 'cool' about this car. Nothing young people will find appealing about it. What it serves to represent is needless excess.

I get that Cadillac is a luxury brand, but you went from making smart moves with the CTS ad ATS, they really did look and feel like BMW competitors, but this… this one comes with a mandatory age of over 60 years old. It's actually what old people think is hip in a completely over the top way. The iPhone didn't sell well because it was over the top. It sold well because it was highly functional, easy to use, and in a minimalist package.

GM doesn’t get how to create buzz, do a charging network, or be the “it”’brand. However GM has been plugging away for almost 10 years churning out some of the best products it’s made in the last 20.

Oh if it’s loaded w/ Apple CarPlay you can just take my money right now. 💼 Take this briefcase and make it rain 🌧 bc you earned it 👍. Don’t get me wrong. I know Tesla is like the only “cool” EV brand and I really liked the Model X during my test drive. It’s just that Apple CarPlay completes me. Shout out to my Android Auto peeps out there 2 btw. Anyway Tesla has some build quality issues that actually remain to be seen with the Lyriq, but that still throws me off. The Supercharger network does sound nice tho 🙁 .

Very interesting interior, exterior for me is a considerable fail which is a shame because Cadillac has made some rather nice looking vehicles of late.

Someone forgot to tell us that this was an investor call…
The presenters are so dry and scripted and boring…
    So much industry talk too…
Decent car looks way too European in design though almost Volvo-ish , love the grill lights really cool, where is the frunk, the interior they tried too hard but it's interesting we'll see how the road tests go

    Looks impressive

    August 8, 2020

I was hoping to replace my Chevy Volt with something cool. The ELR looked nicer then this. GM just can’t get it right. Stop making EV’s with horrible styling. Make a normal looking vehicle with a reasonable prices and good EV range. Cadillac is the wrong line for GM EV’s. This is the same company that made a vehicle as beautiful as the Corvette after all.

To little, to late?! Like so many others GM products it will pale in comparison to Tesla. Example, the Chevy Bolt, Volt and the Cadillac ELR! GM stock is another example of bad decisions. Stock IPO’d in 2010 for $33. Last I looked it was just under $26. After 10 years! GM is still closing plants. What needs to happen is a new way of thinking! Mary Barra salary is almost $22 million! For what? That salary should be cut to ZERO! Pay her with GM stocks. Use the money to bring back jobs from Mexico! Do serious research and development of new technologies like advance battery technology. Solid state batteries are on the next horizon! Electric vehicles are here to stay! Get over it! Next new vehicles are electric pickup trucks! GM get ahead of this! Don’t wait till other manufacturers build a better truck. Then watch GM play catch up! Start with electric pickup trucks. The Hummer is a well loved truck! As well the Silverado and Denali! Jump over to Cadillac. Bring out a beautiful electric 2 door, 4 door car. Have a special vehicle division that produces limited production electric vehicles. MAKE THEM AFFORDABLE SO YOU CAN SELL THEM QUICKLY! Then make more. What about a one year only, limited production 1964 all electric Corvette? $1000 down, purchase price $100,000. Make this offer and watch the buyers line up! Jaguar made E-Type Zero 1968 all electric. What about the all electric 49 Mercury made by Icon 4×4? What about an all electric 1970 Cadillac Eldorado? Have a goal of a range of at least 350 miles on a charge with normal driving?!!! Does GM even have a special vehicle operations, anyone? Make your cars unique! Today’s cars are so similar I can’t tell the foreign cars from the domestic cars! Colors! More unique colors! I’m so sick of whites, blacks, grays, silvers and blues! Where’s the greens, reds, yellows, oranges, purples? Dare I say different shades of pink? Options and variety are what made GM a great auto makers! Not being a follower. GM should be the innovator! Not the duplicator and imitators! GM be a leader! Does everyone remember when what was good for GM is good for the country?!!! This is a plan for success! It will help to bring back the middle class. The people who helped make America Great!
