I strongly DISAGREE with mounting the paddle shifter on the steering wheel.

Reason: when the steering wheel is turned more than 180 degrees, you would lose track of which shifter paddle is up and which is down.

Ferrari had it right – don't mess with it!

Great review. Paddles always on the column, never on the steering wheel.

It is a Aston Martin and Mercedes AMG GTR knock off. Ferrari lost its way.

New design ? Come on, Ferrari… a helpless intent to make something entirely new and in the end to land up with something like a Aston Martin design…. shameless….really shameless…

A work of art but I’d prefer some switches over what is essentially an iPad.

Really like the styling, retro and modern at the same time and a bit understated which is lovely. The thing that really bothers me is the steering wheel and center touch screen as they both look utterly out of place and cheap. Touchscreens are great for certain things but while driving I want to positively identify the switch or knob I need to use without looking and this is rarely possible with a touchscreen. If the had taken the style of the center controls and added the often used buttons that we all love (volume knob please) then this would be a home run. As it stands it looks like some left their iPad on the dash.

Am I the only one who thinks that the digital interface behind the steering wheel is really laggy?

  • Hi, how soft are the dampers / the suspension? Does it iron out road imperfections?

  • No mechanical door latch? Power goes out and you have to break the window to get out?

Better "pure" GT, this new Roma, or Aston Martin DB 11 AMR? I already have a V8 Ferrari (488 Spider), and am looking something "sporty," but is MUCH more about comfort for longer drives. Does not need too be as aggressive. Thoughts? Other options?

Thx, Great review of Roma. I’ve had 6 Ferrari’s, all w/ paddle shift on steering wheel. Currently have Corvette ZO6 w/paddle shift on steering column. It bothered me at first, I’ve gotten used to it, it’s okay, but it’s better to for paddle shift to be attached to steering wheel. Your video was fantastic. You showed and explained to me all the things I wanted to see and care about especially how this Roma is as a daily driver, how it is similar and yet different than other Ferrari models. Thank you.
