Love Audi’s but how is this viable? How many families can afford to spend over one hundred thousand dollars on a vehicle really brand doesn’t matter. Buying this on the use market great until maintenance is required ( how much will this thing cost to fix?) a depreciating asset .

This thing is really an impressive big beast. I saw one in black with black wheels, and it sounded mean and chunky. The only mistake Audi made was not releasing a S/RS version 10 years ago.

Great review, as usual!
By the way, the "laser" headlights, just like BMWs, is a gimmick more than useful. They don't become active until 60mph, and even then, they don't illuminate any better than regular LEDs.
The matrix LEDs, on the other hand, found in Acuras, are fantastic. Intelligent. Self adaptive.
The Germans still go for gimmicks and nonsense instead of actual good, reliable, well engineered, products.
By the way, Audi's interiors used to be the best. Now, Genesis has them beat.
SUV with 500hp? I know some will appreciate it but in everyday driving, it's useless.

They don't last. They're unreliable. Costly to maintain sand operate Depreciate like a sinking ship. You can pick any of those used in 3 year for less than half off. In 5 years, they cost just 35% of original price.
Get a Lexus.

The Mercedes GLS and and BMW X7 Are not even in the same category as the Audi Q7 , The Mercedes GLE with seven passenger configuration as well as the BMW X5 with Seven seat configuration are True competitors to the Audi Q7 I heard Audi May possibly bring out a Q9 full-size SUV to compete with the Mercedes GLS and BMW X7

I want to like the Q7, but it’s just waaay to wagon like for my taste. I prefer the more upright and athletic look of the XC90, Range Rover Sport or X5.

What the hell have they done?! The styling is ugly. Seems to me the VW group got a new artist, but his art may appeal to himself, but most others not so much. Be buying the previous model, looks way better and save a lot of cash.

Honestly, I’d go for the 2021 RS6 Avant. That’s the ride for me. Not the “me too” CUV nonsense. A better center of gravity and about the same space inside (be honest, who’s actually using the third row all the time in something like this?)
