The 2021 Genesis GV80 3.5T is the Genesis SUV We’ve Been Waiting a Long Time For

Follow Redline on social channels: Instagram: Facebook: Tesla referral code: #GenesisGV80 is the brand’s first-ever SUV for 2021. Based off the same platform as the new #Genesis G80, the #GV80 has the looks to make you think you bought a Bentley, an interior that would shame a lot of European luxury brands, and a price tag that will make you think you should have paid a lot more. The 3.5L twin-turbo V6 also makes 375 HP and paired with an 8-speed automatic and AWD, we imagine a lot of shoppers will be flocking to Genesis dealers when it goes on sale this November.

  1. Here it is! The long-awaited driving review for this hot new SUV from Genesis. We imagine the 350 Genesis dealers around the country will have a tough time keeping this crossover on the lot and for good reason. Do you guys prefer the G80 or this GV80?

  2. I have had this vehicle ordered for almost a year and I feel like after watching your review I have now test driving it. I cannot wait to actually get behind the wheel of it the week after next. Although I have to honestly say that a test drive I do not think would have given me much more feedback than what I have received from watching your review. As always your reviews are the top of the line and top of the review line.

  3. What would Engineering explained say about your wheel choice? Haha.

  4. I'll never spend more than $20,000 on a Hyundai

  5. Tried to pull off a knockoff of the Lincoln Nautilus

  6. I see loads of comments saying it will never match the prestige of the Germans or even the Lexus but people are missing the point. The people who buy this are those that have already MADE IT and own the usual suspects and that has become boring. They now are into oddball stuff that are conversation pieces with their rich circle and this is the perfect car.

It will also appeal to those looking for some value in this segment.. There are plenty of those people too.

  7. why they pushed the screen so far from the driver….very strange

  8. Can you clarify the steering feel? I personally like a heavy(stiff) steering wheel, and the hyundai and kias tend to be a little light. Does the Genesis GV80 have a stiff steering feeling?

  9. Excellent vlog. Clear and consistent. Really like this vehicle 👍😁

  10. Great car, on a side by side with g90 for me will comes down to where you live. If you get snow where you live go for the gv80.

  11. For being a “mid-level” trim, it looks extremely nice

  12. Complete POS… Have fun with your freaking Hyundai. Only a complete moron would throw money at this, not to speak of being laughed at in any valet or upscale part of town.

  13. It looks like an old persons car.

  14. Looks like the stole the steering wheel off a 10th gen F series

  15. a sports version… why?

  16. Call me crazy but I'll pass. That much lower price tag will make a difference. My mom has a Hyundai azera beautiful at the time of purchase but over the years the interior ( door arm rest, steering wheel, center console, dash, buttons ) and exterior ( tint, wheels, paint on mirrors, bumper ) has not held up well. While I believe the quality of materials is a step up for genisis I still don't trust it over the long haul. Mean while my Lexus is and dads honda accord all of which are the same year, 2007, has held up considerably better inside and out than the Hyundai.

  17. wow was looking to purchase new luxury vehicle I think I have found it

  18. the interior is goregous

  19. GV80 is a little too big for my needs so I hope the US can get the GV70. It's simply gorgeous.

  20. As a korean I like to see korean cars to do better do I try to do more constructive criticism. Hyundai genesis kia came a long way. Hyundai isn't trying "beat" the Germans at this moment and they know they will need to do better as far as engineering goes. But I'm so happy to see how far they came. Still have long way to go but definitely on a good path

  21. Unfortunately they still don't Have it in Houston! 😡

  22. i dont like genesis sedans much at all. but this is a very good car. not sure if i’d pick it up over an xc60 t8 polestar, though.

  23. "iTs jUSt a HyUnDaI"
ey wheres your overpriced renault megane? overpriced mini cooper? overpriced ford contour? overpriced pathfinder? overpriced passat? overpriced camry? people who look down on this car just because it's a Hyundai sub brand are clueless.

  24. Did anyone see that car that drove by at 7:48? Was that the Genesis Vision G?

  25. I think the interior is beautiful as well but you blasted the Lincoln when they used a two tone colors inside their luxury midsized SUV MKX / Nautilus. Try to be more impartial in your reviews. Additionally I understand that you would personally buy the 22 inch wheels but I’m sure they probably don’t ride as smoothly as the 20 inch wheels and honestly the 22 inch wheels look too sporty on a car that already has an exterior that is much sportier looking than the competition. The 20 inch rims look good and are bit less “blingy”. Also you look squished up in the 3rd row and it looks useless as even being remotely functional for everyday use. Also the transmission shifting sounds slow in the review and sounds like its holding the gears too long. It’s a beautiful vehicle but it isn’t hardly as beautiful a the Aviator nor does it have the aesthetic flexibility that the Aviator has when one looks at the exterior design of a car as a long term investment value for value . Additionally I’d like to see how the Infiniti QX55 is going to compete in this segment. The Aviator looks and feel more Range Rover-ish. The upcoming QX55 looks Mercedes-ish, and arguable the blunt exterior lines on the body of the GV-30 aren’t as well executed as say the Acura RDX. I think Genesis did a great job with the exterior design of this SUV but I think Hyundai / KIA / Genesis needs to develop styling that is a bit more evolutionary. I also think it looks somewhat like a tall sports wagon and has a more car like aesthetic than a traditional SUV. I’m going to add this to my shopping list. Thank you for the insightful review.
