It's embarrassingly obvious to anyone who actually knows the Jeep and Toyota that this is a paid advert. Have a sense of pride. Seriously.

This is a defender commercial, the Jeep and 4 runner are way better off road, the LR is probably the champ on the highway, but off road traction control is based on ones brakes, it will wear the breaks out and heat up, the Jeep is head and shoulders better off road with two selectable lockers, the Jeep can have 35” tires on 17” rims, it comes with 33” tires, nothing here comes close to the Jeep period, the LR has car tires… the guy driving the 4 runner says that locking the read diff helps, lol this guy isn’t much of a driver, lol

Lmao both jeep and defender will be in the junker at 100k. Meanwhile the Toyota is barely being broken in

l've been a Defender fan for 14 years, owned five of them and now have a 2005 110 which l love.
But of these three, l would take the Wrangler.

Lol this is a joke! The jeep is a fiat, not a real jeep, the defender is a complete piece of crap! It might last 6 months! Lol the Toyota will eat their lunch! Kinda insulting to compare these pos to the to the 4 runner. Sorry but Edmonds are hacks.

https://youtu.be/_SFmPjKxgNM sorry but these guys do a much better job than you, at least read the manual first so you have the knowledge in the cars before you test them. A-trac would have walked over them hill

Great to see the love for the Toyota truck and how out of depth these so called off roaders were. We love our Toyota’s here in Australia. I love the LC79’s with a lazy big 4.2 V8 Turbo diesel.

Why Toyota doesn’t just swap 4Runner’s transmission to 6 spd gearbox from Jpn LC Prado?

The New Defender is the UK in a nutshell, all about appearances and trading on past glory, and yet unreliable, weak, oversold, and owned by foreign investors.

why would you measure a cars ability by turning off all of electronics. Nobody's going to go drive with them turned off so why base a review around that??

Right. The 4 runner old engine and transmission will outlast both vehicles x2

How do you compare the all the 4hi on the land rover which turns on everything anyway. 4hi with traction or locker automatically. You can see this in the video. So would be the same as 4runner with everything turn on from start.

Independent suspension is laughable for a primarily off road vehicle. The latter two would have flipped and the Jeep could flex its solid front axle however much with a locking rear that rarely loses traction. Only thing to stop it would be mpg and undercarriage damage, or a smashed tie rod and the ball joints are susceptible on every off road vehicle . Either way a Jeep can go where the others can’t.

32:26 in "The defender is heavily reliant on electronics". That's something one wants to hear about a JLR product.
