I have my doubts and a deposit on the Lucid Air. In the 50 years of my life I can’t recall a single Cadillac or GM product that one would consider truly “world class”. The possibility of them nailing the engineering, powertrain, tech, exterior design, and interior materials is about as likely as dying from a Big Foot attack. But, one can dream!

We've seen beautiful cars from Cadillac before: Sixteen, Ciel, Elmiraj, and Escala. None of them were made beyond concepts. If Cadillac makes this a production vehicle, I'll jump for joy. Until then, in my mind it is no different from the others: drop-dead gorgeous, but just empty promises. Cadillac has a long way to go to rebuild reputation and public confidence. Can they do it? Yes. Will they do it? I hope so.
