I imported a 1996 one into the UK in I think 2007 – it was amazing, when you revved the engine it cleared the gravel away on the driveway ! You did have to make sure that it was straight before hitting the gas. A true Icon.

The seatbelts are on the door because it doesn't have airbags. If a car didn't have airbags it had to have automatic seatbelts. The belts were not meant to be released but had some obvious flaws
