The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster Is the Forgotten Mercedes Supercar

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster is a special high-performance supercar — but it’s the “forgotten” supercar of the Mercedes-Benz world. Today I’m reviewing the SLS and I’m going to show you all the quirks and features of the SLS Roadster. Then I’m going to get it out on the road and drive the SLS Roadster.

As Doug discusses the price of the SLS at 19:44, a Genesis GV80 can be seen going the opposite way. That's a good-looking SUV.

Here's the problem, you can get a McLaren MP4 for around the same price and the MP4 much more the driver's car.

The parking sensor indicator is the same on each E-Class (and also SL) of this era – love it since it doesn´t sound annoying, and the rear indicator is visible in the rear-view mirror.

Ok I’m confused. You buy the roadster because it’s more enjoyable to drive right? Why does the car only have 600 miles???? Why buy the inferior version of the car just to not drive it and sell it later?? Wouldn’t it been a better idea to buy the good version if you wanted to keep it low miles? Why even buy it???Whyyyyyy????

That key is the same as a dodge ram from the same era. The window switches are also straight out of the chrysler bin. I have a 4 window version in my 2015 Chrysler 200

The car is 6.208 liters, so I guess theyre just rounding up (a lot). Mercedes has done well worse than that, I think they sold a C 250 with a 1,8 liter engine once. Originally those numbers reflected engine size, but now they just slap an extra 0,5 on there if it has a turbo, so its more of a general performance indicator now (and BMW is doing the same i think)

This car is peak Mercedes. Muted styling, classic look, and naturally aspirated V8.

Not a supercar by any stretch of the imagination. I completely forgot about this car, and I'm going to forget about it soon after watching this video.

The SLS has always been one of my DREAM CARS ever since it came out, but I’d take a SLS Black Series over the roadster😎👍🏻.

Why do Mercedes insist on making a 6.2 litre engine and badging it 6.3? Why not just make it 6.3?

I am sure that is not the parking sensors. The sensors would be on the outside in the bumpers.
That is only the display/UI for the sensor system.
