It kinda looks like Peugeot 3008

VW is one of the few companies still making decent-looking cars. They didn't go along with the trend for ridiculous front grilles.

Recently I did a test drive in a Polestar 2, that's a car that is certainly worth checking out as well if you are in the market for something like this.

At least it looks better than the electric monstrosity Ford calls a Mustang.

No buttons, no use. I hate Tesla for this trend. And the VW group is just way too willing to jump on the stupid bandwagon. It's annoying.

Kinda surprised Doug didn't go "This infotainment screen isn't a 55 inch OLED TV, it's rather small!"

Would they please stop making everything this stupid touchpad buttons? It is hard enough to find an actualy physical button without looking, but trying to hit the right thing on these? Good luck with that. This to me seems like a cost saving measure more than anything else. Not everything new is good…

AWD is always less range with EVs UNLESS they have a bigger battery.

I love how I have to endure two 15 second long ads before the video just to watch him do another 15 second long for CArs AnD BiDs a minute later.

Does VW not remember what happened to 'white' computer equipment after a while? Dirty and yellowed, on all contact points. That's my first impression.

Btw, apart from the time that Doug was complaining about the infotainment, it worked very well, very responsive.

This car is very nice, looks friendly – I like it. Two problems – software and lack of front boot – VW showcases that it is special, new era EV platform but they did not try to do frunk. They claim the reason was interior space, but it is BS talk, there is a room for that.

Is there any ev that is 4wd, can go 200-300km per charge at winter and has a boot that would fit two german shepherds? And oh, doesn't cost more then 30k€. No there's not.

Ah yes. The only things in white are what you constantly touch with your dirty paws. Excellent decision.

The infotainment flaw has also been strongly criticized in German media. It is Volkswagens first attempt to create their own software. There should be an update soon, since they also want to offer over the air updates in future, which is not possible yet. So the owner has to visit the dealership at least once for an update.

VW needs to package Doug's video in the owners manual because I doubt most people can figure out the non intuitive controls for this car by themselves.

That car design wise looks like a bad copy of a Peugeot 3008.

20:40 Doug, the GTI, ID.3, ID.4 etc. have what is known as the Kamm back rear styling. He was the German pioneer, automobile designer, engineer, and aerodynamicist Dr. Wunibald Kamm. He was regarded as the father of automotive aerodynamics.
